ART ASCEND FINE ART COMPETITION

RULES

To ensure a fair and inclusive competition, all participants must adhere to the following rules and guidelines. By entering the competition, you agree to abide by these terms:

1. Eligibility

  • Open to all artists, regardless of nationality, age of 18 and older.
  • Each artist can submit a maximum of 10 artworks for the entire competition.
  • Artworks must be original and created solely by the artist submitting them.
  • Collaborative works are not accepted unless all contributors are explicitly listed.

2. Acceptable Mediums

Submissions are limited to the following traditional, physical art mediums:

  • Painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, tempera)
  • Drawing (pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink)
  • Mixed Media (combination of traditional materials)

Note: Digital art, photography, prints, AI-generated art, or any work involving significant digital manipulation—including but not limited to printed images enhanced with paint or other pigments—will not be accepted.

3. Prohibited Content

The following types of artwork will not be accepted under any circumstances:

  • Violence or Gore: Any depiction of excessive violence, bloodshed, or torture.
  • Pornography or Explicit Nudity: Artwork featuring sexually explicit content or pornography.
  • Hate Speech or Discrimination: Submissions that promote or incite hatred, discrimination, or harm based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other identity.
  • AI-Generated Art: Any artwork that is fully or partially created using artificial intelligence tools, algorithms, or machine learning.
  • Digital Art: As this competition focuses on traditional art, digital artworks or those created entirely through software will not be accepted.
  • Traced or Copied Works: Any work that is copied, traced, or heavily referenced from existing artwork, photos, or other sources without proper authorization will be disqualified.

4. Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions must be uploaded through the BullseyeArts.com submission portal.
  • Submission Format: Artists must upload high-quality images of their work (JPG or PNG format, minimum resolution of 300 dpi).
  • Artwork Dimensions: Clearly indicate the size and medium of the physical piece when submitting.
  • Each submission must be accompanied by:
    • Title
    • Size
    • Year of creation
    • Short description (up to 200 words)
  • Artwork must be created within the last three years.
  • All submissions are free to enter.

5. Copyright & Originality

  • By submitting, artists affirm that their work is original and that they hold the full rights to the artwork.
  • The artist retains all copyright to their artwork; however, by entering the competition, artists grant BullseyeArts.com the right to use images of their work for promotional purposes related to the competition, including on social media and marketing materials.
  • Any submissions found to infringe on the copyrights of others will be disqualified and removed from the competition.

6. Judging Criteria

Artwork will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity & Originality: How unique and innovative the artwork is.
  • Technical Skill: Mastery and application of the chosen medium.
  • Emotional Impact: The work's ability to provoke thought or evoke emotions.
  • Composition & Aesthetic: The arrangement of visual elements in the piece.

The judging panel consists of professional artists and art critics. Their decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

7. Prizes

  • The competition offers monetary awards, art supply packages, and featured artist spots on the BullseyeArts.com website and social media platforms.
  • Specific prize details, including monetary amounts and award categories, will be announced on the competition page.

8. Submission Deadlines

  • The competition begins on December 1st, 2025 and submissions will be accepted until January 16th, 2026.
  • Late entries will not be considered.
  • All submitted artwork must be available for sale.
  • Artists agree to allocate 30% of the sale price to Bullseye Arts for any artwork sold during the competition.

9. Disqualification

  • BullseyeArts.com reserves the right to disqualify any submission that violates these rules or is deemed inappropriate.
  • Any attempt to manipulate voting (in competitions involving public voting) or breach of competition rules will result in immediate disqualification.

10. Additional Rules

  • Artists must agree to be respectful in any online interaction related to the competition.
  • BullseyeArts reserves the right to modify the rules and structure of the competition as needed, but any changes will be communicated to participants in advance.

By submitting your artwork, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these competition rules.
